Value
Value is the term we use to describe the range of lightness or darkness of a visual element.
The relationship of one element to another is called value contrast which allows us to discern and image and perceive detail.
Different value relationships produce different effects, both visual and emotional.
High contrast
is a wide range of values while low contrast is
a narrow range of values.
